Every counselor at camp is specifically hired to work in one of our program areas. Because our program has a strong emphasis on instruction, it is critical that our staff be comfortable teaching and/or assisting in one of the program areas listed below. Of course, it should also be an activity that you would love to share with others.
Athletics
Camp Wayne has an outstanding athletic program. We pride ourselves on the quality of instruction that our campers receive in an environment that is focused on learning as opposed to just winning. While the athletic facilities at Wayne are top-notch, it’s our staff who teach and coach day in and day out that make our athletic program so special for our campers. Counselors work under the direction of their activity director and athletic director. Athletic activities include: baseball, basketball, boxing, conditioning, football, martial arts, golf, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, team handball, tennis and wrestling.

Aquatics
With a private 95-acre spring fed lake and Olympic-size heated swimming pool, the aquatics program has the perfect facilities for instructing our campers in a variety of exciting activities. Aquatic activities include: canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sailing, water-skiing and wakeboarding. Recreation activities at the waterfront include: water polo, water basketball, water trampoline, tubing and banana boating.
Arts & Crafts
The Arts & Crafts program at Wayne encourages creativity and skill building. Campers have the opportunity to take on arts projects in drawing/painting, lanyards, beadwork, woodworking, rocketry and ceramics.
Adventure Program
Developing teamwork, communication skills and an appreciation for the outdoors are important goals in our adventure program. Activities include: high ropes course, low ropes course, zip line, climbing tower, bouldering wall, archery, mountain biking, nature, orienteering, fishing and camping.
